Productomschrijving
The Gigabit desktop switch with 8 ports, 4 of which support PoE, enables seamless network connections. It features 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet capacity.
Four of the eight Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports (ports 1 to 4) on the switch support the Power over Ethernet (PoE) function. These PoE ports can automatically detect and power IEEE 802.3af-compliant Powered Devices (PDs). This allows power and data transmission to occur over a single cable, enabling you to extend your network to areas without power outlets and install devices such as access points, IP cameras, or IP phones.
The TL-SG1008P has a priority function that protects the system from overload. If the total power consumption of all PoE PDs is >= 53 W, priority is assigned to the PoE ports, and the system will cut off power to the port with the lowest priority.
Priority function for ports:
Priority (Port 1 > Port 2 > Port 3 > Port 4): This function helps protect the system when the power supply is overloaded. For example, if ports 1, 2, and 4 each use 15.4 W (maximum power per port is 15.4 W), the total power supply to the system is 46.2 W (PoE max LED is red). If a PD with 10 W is then connected to port 3, the system will shut down port 4 to protect the system. This means ports 1 and 2 each use 15.4 W, and port 3 uses 10 W. Port 4 will not receive power.
The TL-SG1008P is easy to install and use. No configuration or setup is required. With its desktop design, excellent performance, and quality, the TL-SG1008P from TP-LINK with 8 Gigabit ports, 4 of which are PoE-enabled, is an excellent choice for expanding your home or office network.
