What is a backorder?
A backorder means you’ve placed an order for a product that Complies cannot deliver because it is out of stock. While we do our utmost to keep our inventory levels accurate and up to date, it can happen that an item shows as available when you order it, but by the time our logistics team processes your order, it turns out to be sold out.
We realize this may cause inconvenience, and we’ll gladly work with you to provide a suitable solution. Our purchasing department will make every effort to reorder the item so we can still deliver it to you.
The product is back in stock: what happens next?
If the product can be reordered, we usually have it back on the shelves within a week. As soon as it arrives, we will ship it to you free of charge and you will immediately receive an updated order confirmation. If in the meantime the supplier has raised the price or only offers a newer (and more expensive) version, we will always contact you first. You then decide whether you want to continue with the order at the new price.
The product is no longer available: what now?
Sometimes it’s not possible to reorder an item because it has been discontinued or because the manufacturer only supplies a newer version. In that case, the following applies:
Have you already paid in advance? Then we will refund the purchase amount to your account.
Did you place the order on invoice? Then we will remove the item from your order, and the amount due for that product will no longer be charged.
