The EdgeSwitch provides an extensive range of Layer-2 switching features and protocols, along with Layer-3 routing capabilities. It processes traffic on all ports simultaneously without packet loss, with a total non-blocking throughput of up to 26 Gbps for the 24-port models and up to 70 Gbps for the 48-port models.

Available in 24 or 48 PoE Gigabit Ethernet port configurations, the EdgeSwitch automatically detects and powers devices with IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. For devices requiring 24V Passive PoE, this feature can be manually enabled through the EdgeSwitch Configuration Interface.

For networks needing fiber connectivity, the EdgeSwitch offers options with two SFP ports on the 24-port models, supporting uplinks of up to 1 Gbps. The 48-port models include two SFP and two SFP+ ports, allowing for uplinks of up to 10 Gbps.

The EdgeSwitch features an intuitive graphical user interface for easy configuration and monitoring. Advanced users can also access a standardized command-line interface (CLI) via Telnet and SSH.

The sophisticated operating system of the EdgeSwitch provides essential switching functions and per-port PoE configuration, along with a variety of advanced features such as MSTP/RSTP/STP, VLAN, Private VLAN, Voice VLAN, Link Aggregation, DHCP Snooping, IGMP Snooping, TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1X, MAC Filtering, ACL, DiffServ, CoS, Static Routing, and Policy-Based Routing.
